SPINNING ROD AND REEL RENTALS

Spinning Rod and Reel RentalsThe day rate for Rod Reel and Line is $15.00. Please take time to select a small amount of tackle for the day and be sure to have a fishing licence, a pouch for tackle, a snack, appropriate footwear, and a map of the area you are planning to go.  Staff will be eager to help you with this when they set you up.   You will also be asked to file an activity plan before you leave for your own safety in case you are late returning at the end of the day.  You can also make arrangements for multiple day rentals and we do offer group rates.

FLY ROD RENTALS

Fly Rod RentalsThis may be a good opportunity to practice you casting skills and try out a selection of different combinations of rods and reels before you make a purchase.  Be sure to have a few extra flies for the day as they are light and easy to store and take with you at the end of the day.  Staff will be able to inform you as to the various seasonal hatches to make your fly selection easier.  Spud valley carries in excess of 50,000 flies and you will find the patience of staff and their willingness to be helpful a treat.

SNOW SHOE RENTALS

Snow Shoe RentalsBe prepared for a good workout if you plan to venture off the beaten track.  There are a number of trails and almost perfect areas to go close to town, such as the upper Pemberton meadows, the Joffre Lake Park, or the Duffy Lake area.  It is very important to have the appropriate footwear for fitting into snowshoe bindings while providing comfort and warmth.

You should also be sure to have a small pack to carry extra clothing, lunch, emergency equipment and a map of the area you plan to travel.  Staff will be happy to fit you and make suggestions about how to conserve your energy if you are out with a group.  This may include switching shoe sizes and trail breaking.  You may also want to have a pair of ski poles for side hilling and balance in difficult to go places.  Please do not be hesitant to ask questions about the equipment or how it is used.
